pyphi.formalism.iit4.integration_value(direction, system, partition, system_state, *, system_measure, cut_system=None)[source]#

Compute the integration value for a partition along a direction.

Evaluates against the spec stored at system_state[direction]; tied specified states are handled at the orchestration layer (see sia()) by enumerating them and calling this function per candidate. system_measure is a Protocol-typed composite measure passed explicitly by the caller (no config fallback).

The induced cut_system depends only on the partition, not the direction, so a caller evaluating both directions may build it once and pass it in to avoid rebuilding it per direction.
