pyphi.examples.frog_substrate(species='F3')

The substrate of a frog from Grasso et al. (2021).

Three species are available. F3 has three sensors (SL, SC, SR), three central neurons (CL, CC, CR — CC is a composite super-bug detector), and two motors (ML, MR). F2 removes CC, leaving CL and CR to jointly form a composite cause. F1 is a pair of reduced “half-frogs,” each with two sensors, one central neuron, and one motor.

Parameters:

species (str, optional) – One of "F3" (default), "F2", or "F1".

ValueError – If species is not a known frog species.
